Journaling: get rid of stress and be in a good mood?

A few days ago I started journaling and I make time for it almost every day. Even though I've only been doing it for a few days, I'm noticing a difference. In this article you will learn what journaling can do and why you should start with it too :)

Writing helps! Here are a few reasons why:

  1. It provides clarity: writing can force you to take a closer look at your thoughts, dreams or goals. For example, if we can't express an idea clearly or if there are gaps, then we'll notice it at the latest during journaling. This allows us to deal with certain topics again and, above all, in more detail.

  2. Sorting thoughts: writing down can help us to find a common thread and to think over/analyze situations.

  3. It clears your head: it helps if you just take a few minutes. takes the rest. Without noise, TV, music, etc. and write down what's going through your head at the moment.

  4. It can take away the stress & doubts: we often overthink situations and see it worse than it actually is. But if we take the time and write down the situation, then we can realize that it is not bad at all. By writing it down we can look at situations from a different perspective and this could make decisions easier to make.

  5. It puts you in a good mood: write down what you are grateful for. what you are proud of Positive events or positive memories. Focus on the positive and become aware of what you are thankful for.

  6. It can improve sleep: Reviewing positive things before bed can improve your sleep.

And this is how you start:

  • Get a nice notebook and a nice pen. This will be your journaling kit.

  • You don't have to write something in your notebook every day, you set the rules.

  • Write about topics, thoughts, or events that are on your mind. What's on your mind? Don't ignore the positive! Here are a few inspirations for you:

I miss ...

I think of ...

I'm looking forward to ...

I've always wanted to...

This week I'm particularly proud of...

I am grateful that...

I feel myself ...

If I'm honest then...

Are you ready for your first entry! :) Create a cozy atmosphere. Shut down all distracting noises and focus on yourself. Maybe you would like to prepare yourself a delicious drink for writing?! :)

I wish you a lot of fun on your journey to yourself!

Greetings,
