I have rated the ski area and informed myself about the prices. How many stars have I been able to give the ski area?
In which city can you enjoy the sun on the beach and go skiing in the mountains on the same day? It's Antalya!! would you have thought so :)
Yes, Austria is known for skiing and that's where I learned to ski & snowboard. I have to admit that I missed winter sports a bit, so I didn't want to miss out on a ski trip here in Antalya either.
I packed my winter stuff and made my way to Antalya's ski resort: Saklikent. For my personal evaluation I have formed three categories:
Location
Ski Area
Price
4 stars could be awarded in each category. So, what was the rating of this ski resort? One thing in advance: I was aware that you shouldn't compare a smaller ski area in southern Turkey with a great ski area in Austria.
➡️ LOCATION:
The ski area can be reached from the city center in just one hour, making it ideal for a short excursion into the snow. Due to the location, it is possible to enjoy the sun on the beach and also go skiing in the mountains in just one day. Which city can also offer this luxury?!
Because of the great location, this category gets full points: 4 out of 4 stars

➡️ SKI AREA:
Unfortunately, the ski area itself does not fare so well. It's a bit disorganized on site and it's not easy to find your way around. I first wandered around to find the ski rental. And I couldn't find where to buy my lift ticket either...
In addition, the ski area is very small. It only has one chairlift and one button lift. Those who can already ski well will soon be bored. But ideal for beginners! There is also a toboggan rental and a small lift with a toboggan run. So great! You can find more information about the ski area here.
Since it is not easy to find your way around there and everything is also very small, this category unfortunately only gets one star:

➡️ PRICES:
On site I borrowed my ski equipment (skis, sticks & boots) and paid 350 TL (17 €) for it. I paid 400 TL (20€) for a full day ticket. In addition, I had to pay 50 TL (2.50 €) to be able to drive there directly by car (including parking).
So for less than 40€ you can enjoy a day of skiing in Antalya. I would say that is a very good price. Therefore, this category also gets 4 stars:

➡️ WHAT ELSE?
I almost forgot: there is a small cafe/restaurant on site, but I didn't try it. What I also found super interesting: many people had a barbecue in Saklikent and had a picnic with their tables and camping chairs. There is even a barbecue area directly in Saklikent, where you can rent covered barbecue areas. I think it's great! Barbecue in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by a beautiful snowy landscape ❄️
➡️ OVERALL RATING:
For a ski area where tourists normally expect lots of sun, sand and sea, I was pleasantly surprised. The journey was easy, the location ideal and you can even grill on site. That invites you to a great day trip with friends or family! It was also great in terms of price, but the ski area is more for beginners. Unfortunately, there was also a lack of organization there. Overall, I was satisfied and would therefore like to give the ski area 2-3 stars:

Maybe we'll see each other skiing in Antalya ☺️
Until then stay healthy & happy!
